The put-in pin is the beach access we used on 7 September 2026; navigate to it rather than to the park's street address. A BYO inflatable SUP went in from here. No dedicated inflation station was confirmed, so bring a charged pump. Stay outside the buoyed swimming areas.

Check the tide before setting out. The Atlantic side can be windy with strong tides, and returning on the bay side is often the better plan. Through the Ohio Key to Bahia Honda channel, paddle with the current or between tides rather than against it.
On the morning of 7 September 2026 the Atlantic side was exceptionally still, clear and shallow. That is what we saw that day, not what to expect on another: the same water can be windy with strong tides, so check wind, weather and tide and decide your turnaround point before launching.
