A manatee-refuge spring destination where paddlers can launch into the St. Johns River and, outside winter closure season, experience the spring-run environment under strict wildlife-protection rules.

A no-fee public boat ramp at the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center, managed by the City of Clearwater. A paved one-lane ramp with courtesy docks and restrooms; FWC lists it as open 24 hours.
Florida Keys · Monroe County · Florida Bay / Atlantic coastal waters
A compact Florida Keys paddle with mangrove-tunnel and Deer Key loops, a sandbar about a third of a mile out and short open-water sections. Conditional go: the mangrove route depends on water level, so plan a fallback before you launch.
